Property Description

Incredible opportunity to own a turn-key Event Venue, complete with "historic charms and modern touches," conveniently located in the heart of Fayetteville, Georgia. Originally built in 1902 and recently updated, the Fayette Depot has 880 square feet of indoor gathering space and can accommodate approximately 100 people. The partially-covered Outdoor Party Platform adds an additional 1,300 square feet to the multi-use facility. Currently, the Fayette Depot is utilized for events such as rehearsal dinners, corporate outings, family reunions, graduation and birthday parties, as well as more intimate gatherings such as baby showers or luncheons. The venue includes a caterer's kitchen, equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, and onsite ice machine, and 3 handicap accessible restrooms. Also staying with the building are the tables, chairs, 75" wall-mounted TV, and audio system complete with microphone. To really appreciate the structure for its age, it is important to know its story! Between the years of 1887 and 1888, the railroad line through Fayetteville, Georgia was built by the Atlanta and Ft. Valley Railroad Company. It carried freight and passengers and in 1895 was acquired by the Southern Railway Company. Besides being a big shipper of cotton, the depot also was the scene of Fayetteville's social life. The depot's business started to decline in the 1920's. After the railroad tracks were taken up in 1939, the building served as a furniture store, storage facility, propane gas business and restaurant. From 1939 a 1972 it was owned by Mr. and Mrs. Huie S. Nipper as a restaurant and grocery store. From 1972 a 1985 it was owned by PetroFlame and in 1985 was bought by the City of Fayetteville and moved to its current location at 250 Lanier Ave East. Don't miss this chance to own a historic and unique business where lasting memories are made! **Visit the website https://fayettedepot.com for more information on the current business**
